The director of FoodHub, Professor Aleksandra Martinović, is the first author of a paper entitled "Genome Sequences of Lactococcus garvieae and Lactococcus petauri Strains Isolated from Traditional Montenegrin Brine Cheeses", published in the journal Microbiology Resource Announcements.

This work is the result of cooperation between FoodHub and the University of Donja Gorica with two eminent institutions from Austria: the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety) and the Department of Biotechnology (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences).

In this paper, as noted by the authors,  the genomes of L. garvieae INF126 and L. petauri INF110, obtained from traditional Montenegrin brine cheeses are reported.
