Successfully completed "Advanced Course on Hygienic Engineering and Design"
On 11.05.2023. "Advanced Course on Hygienic Engineering and Design" was held at the University of Donja Gorica from 09:00 to 04:30 pm. This course was organized by the University of Donja Gorica, i.e. the Centre of Excellence (FoodHub) and the European Association for Hygienic Engineering and Design (EHEDG) with lecturers Prof. Miomir Niksic and Prof. Aleksandra Martinovic.
The goal of this course was to provide knowledge and insight into the hygienic design of equipment and all aspects of hygienic engineering, especially for the food, but also cosmetic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and chemical industries.
The course was organized through a balanced and modular system of lectures and a series of practical sections, and included the following topics:
- Introduction to hygienic engineering and EHEDG
- Hygienic design and appropriate legal regulations
- Hazards in hygienic production
- Hygienic design criteria
- Cleaning and disinfection
- Materials of construction for food contact equipment
- Location of the factory, appearance and design of the building
The course was attended by 47 participants: students, lecturers, researchers, representatives of certification institutions and manufacturers. At the end of the course, all participants were awarded certificates.
