FoodHub begins collaboration with highly regarded Vinča Institute Polymer Group

FoodHub has begun a new multilateral project of scientific cooperation focused on Smart Food Packaging in collaboration with the Polymer Group headed by Dr Vladimir Djoković at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences of the University of Belgrade.

Dr Djoković's group specializes in polymer nanocomposites and hybrid nanomaterials with an emphasis on biomolecule functionalized metal and semiconductor nanoparticles, as well as on metal-semiconductor heterostructures. The project will investigate the potential of certain plant extracted biomolecules to act as pH colorimetric indicators in food packaging.
