Professor dr Olivier Donard visited the University of Donja Gorica

Prof. Donard is a member of the French Academy of Sciences, director of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), director of the Institute of Analytical Sciences, physical-chemical sciences focused on the environment, at the University of Pau in France, and founder of the IPREM laboratory. He began his academic journey studying at the University of Bordeaux-I in France, and later taught at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. His academic career took him to the United States, where he conducted pivotal post-doctoral research under the auspices of the US Environmental Protection Agency and the National Science Foundation. Professor Donard is also known for his contributions beyond academia; he is a prolific author with 308 peer-reviewed publications and the visionary behind two companies, Ultra Traces Analyse Aquitaine (UT2A) and Advanced Isotopic Analysis (AlA).

During his visit to Montenegro, Professor Olivier Donard participated in productive meetings with representatives of UDG and project members. Additionally, he was introduced to the activities of the Center of Excellence (FoodHub), as well as the Laboratory for Food Quality and Safety, with a special focus on the chemical laboratory and its capacities related to enological instruments and methods of wine testing. Furthermore, the professor had the opportunity to visit "13th of July Plantaže," a winery that is a partner in the Tracewindu project.
