Young researchers participated in the training "Digital innovations for One Health practitioners - Training on innovative digital software solutions supporting risk assessment, zoonotic outbreak investigations and data interoperability"

In the period from 15-19-02.2021, young researchers engaged in the project, Andrea Milačić and Amil Orahovac, attended the training "Digital innovations for One Health practitioners-Training on innovative digital software solutions supporting risk assessment, zoonotic outbreak investigations and data interoperability" organized by our partner Federal Institute for Evaluation Germany (BfR) and the University of Surrey, as part of The One Health European Joint Program (OHEJP).

This training was organized as a one-week training that focused on the importance and application of software solutions to support the process of risk assessment, detection and investigation in case of outbreaks (zoonoses).

The module consisted of:

Day I

Session of presentations of eminent experts (EJP projects, EFSA) on the importance of software solutions and examples of their use in the field of food safety, public health and animal health.

Day II - Day IV

Interactive thematic workshops with exercises.

Day V

Plenary discussion, expert answers to participants' questions.


This training was a great opportunity for our young researchers from the aspect of getting acquainted with the latest software solutions used for risk assessment in the field of food safety.
