New project - FoodDecide
We started with planning activities on our joint project "Digital Technologies for Food Safety Decision Support”(FoodDecide), within the program "Stärkung Deutschlands im Europäischen Forschungs- und Bildungsraum" zur Förderung von Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekten zwischen Deutschland und den Westbalkanstaaten (WBC2019).
The project is planned to be implemented by three institutions:
Project coordinator: The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and
Project Partners: Kühne Logistics University (KLU) and University of Donja Gorica (UDG), i.e. Centre of Excellence for Digitalisation of Microbial Food Safety Risk Assessment and Quality Parameters for Accurate Food Authenticity Certification (FoodHub).
This project will aim at developing efficient decision support software for Montenegrin food business operators and governmental agencies supporting Food Safety and disease outbreak investigations.
Specifically, this project builds on the research, expertise and resources developed at BfR and KLU in the domains of open source software development, algorithm design and food supply chain modelling.
The three project partners will work together to expand and adapt existing technologies to the needs of Montenegrin Food Safety system and contribute to its advancement.
